This award was aimed specifically at a young person who was determined to give 100% to their chosen sport and who had a vision of representing the local area or to become a professional sports star.

Joint Winners – Harry Humphries and Jay Able

Harry Humphries - Harry is a swimmer who was spotted at a gala specifically for people with downs syndrome in 2017. Since committing to his swimming, Harry has gone on to represent Great Britain at the European and World Downs Syndrome Swimming Championships finishing a brilliant 9th in the world at the 200m backstroke.

Jay Able - Jay has been racing motorcycles since the age of 7. In 2019 after working his way up through the classes, Jay began racing full size circuits and took the win in his first race and followed that up with several more victories throughout the year. Recently Jay has made the big step up competing in British Superbikes and the British Junior Supersport Class.
